March 2017 Recap

March has come and gone. After the surprise warmth of February March ended on a cold note with some snow! But spring seems to be on its way.

We certainly kept busy during March.

We went to programs at the library and sometimes just went to the library to read and play. Matt has become close with a few of the regulars from the Wednesday and Thursday storytimes. Most of them are girls, but they have finally accepted Matt fully into the group. He has even gone from "The Boy" to "Matt." The librarian who has watched them all grow from babies into 3 year olds may be the one who gets the biggest kick out of watching them all play together.

Listening to the stories with Pooh at the March of the Stuffed Animals

Doing STEAM activities at the March of the Stuffed Animals

Building with "big kid" Legos (and, yes, that's Andy exploring)

We went to the children's museum twice.

We had some fun in the snow we had.

Going for a walk with friends

Getting a push from a friend

Matt continued with his Mini Athletes sports class. Unfortunately he missed one when we had to take Andy for the doctor for his croup and ear infection, but we've done pretty well with attendance this year.

Football

Lacrosse

We started a new series of classes, Nature & Art, at the local Audubon Society's museum of bird art. After a story (they choose some really interesting nature-related books with high quality illustrations!) the kids do an art activity. If the weather is nice, we go for a nature walk. I think Matt is enjoying it almost as much as I am.

One of the highlights of the month was a short visit from Uncle Vic during his spring break.

As usual we had no shortage of fun around the house.

"Fixing" his crane

And one last photo:

Matt found something interesting to play with while Andy was doing his study.
