Week 31

Sorry for the late post. We ended up being gone much of yesterday, mainly because of a quick trip to the doctor for a booster shot, which Matt took without much fuss, and a quick check-up, which Matt passed with flying colors. He weighs 21 lbs 12 oz now (1 pound 1 ounce more than at 6 months)!

After our very busy May, things are slowing down in June. We had a few events last week: hosting baby play group on Monday, on Wednesday attending the last library story time until next month, and on Friday going for a nature walk through a local conservation area and playing on a playground with my moms' club. Saturday we went to a friend's birthday party, where Matt was the youngest baby (but not by much - and certainly not the smallest).

We enjoyed our days off, going for a few walks and having Matt spend more time on his hands and knees as he struggles to figure out the last few moves he needs to crawl. Stay tuned for the announcement we have a crawler; he may not wait until next week's post...

As of this week Matt also eats peas, carrots, watermelon, and honeydew melon. (The pea and carrot purees I made are so good I may start making variations for the adults!) Matt now has more of a "meal," eating 2-3 things at one sitting. For example, he might have pureed carrots and oatmeal at lunch and then pureed peas and peach slices at dinner. Yum!

The purpose of wearing socks is to pull them off and chew them, right?
