The gingerbread house activity was done through our library, although this year due to facility limitations it was hosted at the municipal golf course's clubhouse. IKEA generously provided the gingerbread kits, and the library provided the icing and candy (some varieties of which did not have much left by the time decorating began in earnest...).

After that we went home and decorated cookies. Because we had so many - and I also had to juggle Andy - I don't have any photos of that. But here are some of the last ones I finished up glazing after the boys went to bed:
Yes, those are dinosaurs. We ended up with as many dinosaurs as anything "Christmasy." I had to push the gingerbread man cookie cutter or else I think we would have pretty much had dinosaurs, racing cars, and trees with some miscellaneous reindeer (also known as moose), trains, planes, and stars.

And today (Friday) Matt and his class visited the culinary arts students, who baked gingerbread men for them to decorate. As you can see, Matt enjoyed decorating his, although he has found less joy in eating it because it is heavy to lift and gets frosting all over his hands and face.
