The battle of the bassinet: baby vs. comfy kitty

We had a busy week, with Matt's sports class on Monday, Matt's soccer on Tuesday, a library program on Wednesday, Matt's story time at the library on Thursday, a morning at the playground on Friday, and a trip to the zoo on Saturday (which I hope to post about soon). We stayed at home on a rainy Sunday, and then Andy and I enjoyed a quiet day at home for the holiday.
Andy is still a little congested but otherwise doing well. Toward the end of last week he started on a growth spurt. He is no longer sleeping for a 7-8 hour stretch at night; he now goes for 5-6 hours. And he can be a little fussier at times than usual. I won't mind when this one is over! I'm already starting to swap out his clothes, replacing his 6-month onesies with 6-9 month ones, although he's still wearing the rest of his 6-month clothes - for the moment. He needs the length of the 6-9 month onesies but certainly isn't filling them out, not even like Matt did when he wore them around 3 to 4 months old. Andy needs more in the shoulders to pull off some of the tops and, dare I say it, more baby rolls.
Andy is more and more alert and interested in what's going on around him. He is also more and more deliberate with his hands. But what he really wants to do is roll over, from his back to his front. He consistently rolls to his left side and back up again. It won't be that long before he rolls all the way onto his belly. Matt has been pretty good with Andy so long as Andy doesn't get all of the attention and stays out of his way, but once Andy starts moving I suspect Matt will raise more objections. (The cat is very wary of Andy, even though I keep telling her he's the more harmless of the two at this stage. Once he starts moving she will have even less interest in him.)
