Yesterday Andy was 12 weeks old. Those twelve weeks have gone by pretty quickly. And we have a hard time imagining life without him.
Andy continues to grow and grow. He still seems to be in his growth spurt or developmental leap or whatever you want to call it. Andy has definitely has grown in length. The 6-9-month onesies are not particularly big on him; he may only be in that size for a couple more weeks. Like Matt he has a very long torso. He continues to gain more alertness, and he's staying awake for longer periods (although in the late afternoon he often wants to take a longer nap but gets awakened by all of the activity of his active older brother). Andy has a nice, long attention span - for his age. He likes to play by stretching his arms and legs in all directions while on his back, and he can do that for quite a while, provided someone is near him. He is getting a bit more control over his limbs and moving toward being able to grab things. One thing he hasn't yet done is roll over, but it's not for lack of desire. If he could will himself over, he would!
We kept ourselves busy last week after the holiday weekend. We spent some time at the playground, and we attended library story time, an outing at the berry farm, a petting zoo, and a nature walk as well as the truck events this past weekend (Andy was only awake for story time and the fire department open house).
