I know I didn't get around to posting for Andy's 19-month birthday, so it's time to catch up with the now 20 month old (as of March 25th).
Andy continues to grow and develop more and more each week. He is noticeably bigger and more able to explore than even a couple of months ago. He enjoys reading more, although that doesn't necessarily mean he's interested in sitting through all of storytime at the library or a full chapter being read to his brother.
Andy's vocabulary is exploding. He is up to over 100 words total. The past couple of months he has added basket/box, sweep, oh oh (for monkey, specifically Curious George), choo choo (for train), wee wee (for fire truck), horse, baby, walk, cluck cluck, moo, hat, Pooh, cook, beep, waffle, hot, boat, uh oh, dog, wee (for swing and slide), cracker, mouth, pig, bunny, baa, bee, woah, cricket, bat (the animal), moon, medicine, kick, my/mine, catch, bounce, woof, more, bus, tea, milk, coat, dip, owl, sit/seat, and sheep. He needs to work on the ends of words; he tends to make similar sounds for the beginning (a lot of "bah," "bee," "beh/bih," "boo," and "buh"), with context supplying the rest. But he'll get there. He can identify his head, nose, mouth, ears, and belly. In fact, he'll show off his belly button when he feels like it.
Andy is still all about vehicles, especially "cucks" (I feel like he's blended "cars and trucks" to get this pronunciation). He is still a big fan of Curious George, but he also likes Pooh, Cars, and Thomas the Train. He continues to like dinosaurs, especially on his clothes or the large plastic ones we have, although maybe not quite as much as before. And of course he remains interested in the cat far more than she is interested in him.
Andy gained two of his 2-year molars, so he only has two more baby teeth - the remaining 2-year molars - to go. He is now wearing 3T. He is actually wearing 3T in both shirts and pants (he has a slightly longer torso in proportion to his legs, but not to the extent Matt does), although the pants are a bit long. He is somehow still in his size 6 shoes, but I expect him to wake up any morning now and require a size 7. (Luckily we have a bunch of shoes waiting from his brother!)
