Minnesota 2017, Days 3 & 4

This is my second post about our trip to Minnesota in August. (The third and final one will be photos from the wedding.)

On Saturday morning, before the wedding, we found a local playground.

Sunday morning, before we went to the airport, we went to the Minnesota Children's Museum. Our children's museum membership got us a discount, and we were fortunate to meet up, if only for a little bit, with some friends with whom I taught high school and their two boys. This children's museum had been renovated recently, and it was a big hit with both of our boys.

By far the biggest hit was the "crazy car wash." It was all that the boys could have imagined and more. They had taken parts of various vehicles (a car, a police car, a bus, etc.) and made them into a vehicle with a steady supply of soap and water. What more could a kid want? Matt may have spent about half of our time in the museum on this one thing.

Sadly we had to leave to say good-bye to everyone before the boys got a chance to spend a lot of time in the parcel delivery service, with its giant conveyor belt onto which the kids could load boxes.

We gave ourselves plenty of time at the airport to get through security, so we had a little time left to play once there.

Luckily we had no delays on the flight back, just a busy baby and his brother...

Just about every flight Andy was up for about 2 hours, then fell asleep, which meant that for all but the first one to Chicago (which was delayed almost 2 hours) he fell asleep just as we started to land.

And so we survived not one, not two, but three trips this summer, included a road trip and six total flights. No more traveling for us for as long as we can manage it! Whew!
